Donna didn't talk about this too much yesterday, but last time I met her we heard a lot more about her experience with the Splendid Table, a program on NPR about food and such. She was one of 15 bloggers from around the country who documented their year-long experience of eating local. Donna and her family made the conscious decision to limit their local radius to 100 miles within Michigan even though they had the option of widening that circle. She explained their decision to support local Michigan farmers due to the state's economic status.
